Hello - I'm Umma

I am a blessed and proud first-time mum to a 3 year old girl. I have come to embrace motherhood in a way that I never thought of myself. Having my precious little one has completely transformed me.

I am loving every part of this journey. I am reading, researching and figuring it out. Some things feel right, and some areas I am clearly failing. But that's my motherhood in real time. And I wanted to log and reflect on all the moments and my own learnings along the way. 

That's what this blog ultimately is. An umma's journal, first. You'll find my personal logs here — entries as they come, not on a schedule. Things I've gathered along the way that resonated with me. Thoughts inspired by moments with our little girl.

It will include the ordinary moments where I find the greatest happiness — a house half-drawn in crayon, a slow Saturday morning making pancakes together. Not to say the beautiful, remarkable things in life don't matter to me — they do. But it's the small, unhurried, everyday ones where I find myself truly content.
